Define Jay Park in one word with three letters = H.O.T. You read that right folks! Jay Park is certainly the epitome of hotness and I guarantee that his Filipino fans will certainly agree. The talented Jay Park finally hit off his mall tour today and the first stop was at Eastwood Mall Open Grounds where hundred of fans gathered just to watch him perform live and to get their “New Breed” album signed even with the rainy weather.

The event was hosted by 93.1 FM radio DJ, Lee Jinri and was officially started by Asia’s Acoustic Sweetheart, Sabrina, who sang four (4) songs from her album, “Somewhere Down The Road”. Among the songs she sang were the acoustic versions of “Move Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 and “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele. It seems Sabrina is also a fan of Jay Park as she excitedly introduced him after her performance.

Jay started off with his original rendition of the song “Nothin’ On You” by BoB feat. Bruno Mars. After that he introduced himself to his fans in Filipino much to everyone’s delight and excitement. Jay said that he only know basic Filipino words like “Ako si Jay Park”, “Salamat” (Thank You) and “Mahal Kita” (I love you). He also revealed that the Filipino dish he enjoyed is Chicken Adobo and that he plans on trying out Halo-Halo (Patbingsoo in Korea) because of the hot weather. He also performed “I Got Your Back”, “Star”, “Up and Down”, “Know Your Name” and “Girlfriend”. Unfortunately while he was half-way through his performance of “Up and Down”, a technical problem occurred. Still, Jay along with his back-up dancers continued to perform despite not having any background music. This received praises from everyone as he showed his professionalism. The same happened during his “Know Your Name” performance and though they’ve tried it for two times the technical glitch stayed.

To continue on with the happy mood, three lucky fans were picked to play a game with Jay, it was called “Know Your Dance”. Jay will dance a part in “Know Your Name” and the three fans will imitate it. The best one wins. The three fans did their best and their was a tie between fan no. 1 and fan no. 3. In the end, fan no. 1 was crowned the winner.

Of course the fun didn’t end there. Jay Park was certainly surprised as someone went up the stage carrying a cake and everyone started singing “Happy Birthday”. Jay was certainly touched and thankful for the wonderful surprise. He then proceeded to perform “Know Your Name”, thankfully without any problem this time and ended his performance with “Girlfriend” to officially start the album signing part of the event.
